Monastics have the option to incardinate into the Eastern Apostolic Vicariate in the First Order (men) or Second Order (women). Alternatively, they may choose to join as Oblate (Tertiary / Third Order) while maintaining membership in their own church.Monastics of the First and Second Order may live in community (cenobitic or ideorhythmic) or alone (hermit), depending on circumstances.
Third Order monastics (Oblate / Tertiary) typically do not live in community and may be married.
All monastics wear the same habit according to the custom and style of their respective Order or Society.
All monastics are held to pray the Divine Office (Breviary) and receive Holy Communion at least once a week.
